Made In the
USAKoontucky Cattery began in 1984 with the purchase of my first Maine Coon Cat. Breeding and showing these wonderful cats has been and continues to be my passion. Our cats are our family and live in our home. Their health and happiness is given every consideration.
In 1993, I was blessed to acquire Coonceit Majerle of Koontucky (pictured above) from Judith Null. He was "The World's Most Perfect Cat!" He exemplifies the Maine Coon Cat standard, both in type and temperament. In his first kitten show, at four months and two days old, he was given four Best All Breed Kitten awards. In 1994, with limited showing, he earned the title of Supreme Grand Champion, Best Maine Coon Cat in the TICA Great Lakes Region, along with Second Best All Breed Cat in the Great Lakes Region. Not to mention four "Best of the Best" in show awards. All of this was accomplished in four shows! Majerle has passed on his "OUTSTANDING" looks and temperament to his sons and daughters. Majerle lost his battle with fibro sarcoma on March 16, 2000. And is waiting for me at Rainbow Bridge. Words are not adequate to express my thanks to Judith Null for this once in a lifetime cat. We miss him desperately.

Koontucky specializes in variations of silver. But we produce kittens of all colors, with the exception of solid white.
We allow our kittens to go to their new families after twelve weeks of age. But we prefer they stay with their litter mates until sixteen weeks of age. At sixteen weeks they are fully weaned, confident, socialized and vaccinated.
Our kittens are raised on a natural raw meat diet. Please carefully read our diet pages. Any sudden change from a raw diet will cause digestive upset. Please have the necessary ingredients at home BEFORE you come to pick up your kitten. Our diet is easy to make and the ingredients are easy to buy. All the guess work it taken out of it for you :-) Our kittens will also transition easily to Wellness Core or Taste of the Wild cat food.
Our kittens are placed with a written sales contract and a health guarantee. We will provide a pedigree at the time of sale. However, we furnish registration papers for pet kittens only with written confirmation of neuter/spay from a licensed veterinarian.
We are dedicated to screening our cats for Hip Dysplasia and Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy. Utilizing both DNA testing and the MSU team of board certified cardiologists. Our cattery is certified FeLV and FIV negative.
All inquiries are welcome. Visitation is by appointment only. References are available upon request.
We place kittens in approved homes only. If you are interested in acquiring one of our "babies", please contact us via email.
